About Libby

Libby is a Functional Medicine Practitioner, registered Nutritional Therapist and founder of the Surrey Centre for Nutrition.

Having graduated from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 2013 with a Distinction and the prestigious Ian Marber (Food Doctor) award, Libby has extensive experience working in clinical nutrition, utilising a functional medicine approach to identify the true underlying cause of her clients health concerns.

Libby's journey into the world of nutrition all began when her own health challenges led her to research nutritional and natural approaches to wellness. Having gone through the conventional medicine system with no real answers, Libby, (like you) decided the answer was to be found in food and nutrition.

Due to her own and her family's experience of autoimmunity and chronic illness, Libby made the decision to focus all of her attention and pour all of her passion into providing a lasting transformative experience for those experiencing chronic health and autoimmune disease.

Libby knows what it is like to search endlessly for the right answers, and also knows that with the correct approach it really is possible to regain health.

Libby's focus primarily is on helping those who have been struggling with chronic AUTOIMMUNE disease and often unexplained illnesses to regain a life of wellness by identifying the root cause of their symptoms and applying a functional and environmental medicine approach to nutrition. She also works with other aspects of immune imbalance such as ALLERGY, FOOD and CHEMICAL reactivity and intolerance, MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), and has a special interest in DIGESTIVE health and wellness, and the role of GUT health on immune and neurological wellness.

Libby always employs a holistic scientific, systematic, and tailored approach to the individual. She finds the answers where many may not.

Testimonials

“Libby helped me to understand what's good for my body explaining everything in a very simple way. Her advice is doable and easy to employ and it focuses on general well being rather than just weight loss.
She's also very approachable and always available to reply to questions you might have once you've started changing your habits.” - Martina

“Libby's knowledge and expertise in nutrition has helped me greatly improve my life. She has enabled me to better understand the connection between my body and what I fuel it with, which has led to increased vital energy levels. I highly recommend Libby to anyone seeking to improve their health and well-being.” - Raj, Actor

“Libby has given me practical help with developing a more rounded approach to food, one that also impacts on my entire wellbeing. I have always been susceptible to emotional eating and making snap choices in times of stress. Libby has given me tips to make considered choices and has helped shift my thinking to a position of nourishment, rather than starving myself. I have goals to lose some weight and re-balance my blood sugars and Libby's solid advice is helping me make that achievable and part of my everyday life.” - Sarah, Digital Producer

“If anyone is considering working with Libby, I would say go for it! I have found it more than worth the money as I am in a position now I never dreamt possible. There is so much information out there that it can be overwhelming and so working with someone who knows their stuff, and can guide you one-to-one takes away all the risk. I have achieved more in the 4 months I worked with Libby than I have in 5 years both physically and mentally, so yes, just go for it!” - Hannah

“I sought advice from Libby because of a significant weight loss following an illness, subsequent operation and prolonged stay in hospital. Prior to seeing Libby, my weight had shown no signs of recovering but, following Libby's recommended changes to my diet, over a three month period I am now back to my pre-operation weight. Additionally previous digestive symptoms have also been positively influenced, due, I am sure, to the dietary changes recommended by Libby. Friends and family all say how much better I am looking!” - Tom, Retired
